Hi there, my name is Jack. My foster dads call me “Captain Jack” but I’m really nothing like that silly pirate in the movies. Really, the only thing I might steal from you is your heart. I’m 12 years old and in excellent health for my age. I do have one small bad habit…. I snore a little (OK, I snore a lot). But I love to snuggle up to you and be close to you. I’m what they call a “Velcro” pug; that means I’ll stick to you no matter where you go. I’ll greet you with a wiggle and a wag with my crooked tail whenever you come home. I’m very good to ask to go outside to potty but I don’t much like the doggie door. I’m getting used to it, though. I was very thin (emaciated really!) when APARN rescued me. I’ve been eating very well since then and I’m starting to put on some weight. Like most pugs, I LOVE my food! I prefer to sleep in my own bed but be sure it is close by your side. Also, I don’t hear very well so you may have to find me rather than call me. Anyway, don’t let my age fool you. There are a lot of miles left on this old chassis and I’d love to be your forever buddy.
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $200
