Hi everyone, my name is Kallie. It’s from the Greek, and it means “Most Beautiful!” While I might not win any contests, I do think that I am quite lovely, esp. for a 12 year old! I’m pretty much a typical senior pug girl, I love naps, short walks, cuddles on the couch, yummy meals, and more naps! What I love most is to be wherever my people are! Maybe it’s because I’m a Virgo, which means I am compassionate and caring, and just want to love and be loved. Of course, it could be because I am a pug, and my kind were created to be loving companions!
When I came to APARN, I had bladder stones, so I underwent a surgery to have them removed, as well as some tumors; now, I’m all healed up and the doctor says everything looks good. I require special prescription dog food to keep my body from making more bladder stone, so my forever home needs to be very diligent in keeping me on Prescription U/D food, for the rest of my life. And that means no doggy treats either. It’s okay though, I’m happy to stay on that food and out of the vet’s office!
I get along with the other pugs in the house, although I could easily be happy as the only dog as well. I will admit, I am NOT fond of small children, so I have asked that my forever home not include any.
If you are looking for a loving companion, I promise you can’t find anyone better! Let’s sit on the couch together and watch some movies!
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
