Hi everyone! My name is Marley. I can’t type very well, so I asked my foster mom to tell you all about me.
First of all, I am deaf. Don’t feel sorry for me, I live a nice quiet life. I sleep really well because I cannot hear all of the noise around me. Since I cannot hear, I have sharpened my other senses. I see very well for an old guy. My sniffer still works and I am pretty good at reading body language. I know what my foster mom is going to do even before she does. I am working on reading lips too. You see, my foster mom sometimes forgets that I cannot hear. She talks to me constantly. I just give her that sad look and pretend I hear everything she says.
I am a fairly quiet fellow too. On rare occasions I bark and I have been known to whine when I am lonely. My days are spent napping all snuggled in my doggie bed or sitting quietly on the floor next to my foster mom (I really don’t care to sit on the furniture). I am a great companion and very loyal and I never talk back! I adore affection from kids of all ages… even the loud ones. You see, even though I am 15 years old, I am young at heart. I get along well with other dogs too.
I also have a great sense of style. My foster mom has me wear these colorful belly bands because I do like to mark my territory. I use the doggie door to go potty, but I still like to mark what’s mine just so everyone knows.
I have to say so myself, I am a pretty awesome pug and I would love to have a forever family. Consider adopting me… you won’t be sorry. I will be a true and loyal friend.
Yours Truly, Marley
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $125.
