Hi My name is Maui, and I am a 10 year old boy who is on the smaller side – only 15.5 pounds! Foster mom insists I start off by telling you I am quite the clever little escape artist! Don’t be offended, it’s not that I don’t want to be with you (i absolutely LOVE to be close to my people) but I just can’t resist the call of adventure! I need a home where the yard/fence/gates are always very secure, because trust me, if there is a way to get out, I WILL find it! I never experienced a doggy door before, so I really don’t quite get the idea behind it yet – other than an escape route!
My right eye sees only light and shadow, but it doesn’t hurt, and it doesn’t slow me down at all! I would do best in a home without young children. There are not cats here in my foster home, but they tell me that most pugs are okay with dog-friendly cats.
Foster mom says I ride very well in the car, and am crate trained. I do very well with the other dogs here in my foster home. I will sleep on a doggie bed, but I would really rather sleep snuggled with my people in the big bed! I like tv time, where I can sit on the couch next to you and you can rub my belly. I will give you lots of pug kisses, too! I am not a fan of green beans, I think they must be an acquired taste. All in all, I am just a sweet little pug who is looking for a new best friend!
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $125
