Hi, Pug Lovers, My name is Obi-Wan. No, not THAT Obi-Wan, although I am pretty wise beyond my years. I am in good health and ready to go to my forever home. You will be very lucky if you are a match for me.
I’m ten years old, still frisky and full of fun. I’m also full of love. It takes me a little while to warm up and trust you but Foster Mom says I’m a real lover now. Give me a little patience and I will become a cuddle-pug.
I’ve been told I weigh more than I should, so we have something called ‘The Green Bean Diet’ at this house. All I know is I am anxious for my dinner when it comes. I will need your help. Don’t let my sad face cause you to give me extra treats. Please help me get back to my healthy weight.
APARN saw to it that I have all of the shots I need and I saw the dentist so now my teeth are shiny and clean.
I’m very proud of myself. Although I hadn’t seen a doggie door before coming here, I got that trick down pat in just a couple of days. Now, whenever I feel the need, I zip outside and take care of business where it should be done. No accidents for this big boy.
I get along with the other pugs in the house. We’re all boys but no one is bossy. We’re all polite as a well-behaved pug should be.
At first I didn’t want to go into any other rooms in the house, but now I realize its ok with Foster Mom. She let me decide and I’ve chosen to sleep on the rug in the master bath. There’s a dog bed available but I’m pretty content where I am.
When riding in the car, I’ve been in a crate but I don’t really like it that much. Foster Mom puts me in one for just a couple of minutes at a time to let me get used to it and to know I’ll be OK. (I still don’t like it but I don’t say anything.)
I’m not a picky eater. I’m fed in the same spot each day and I run there as fast as I can when it’s mealtime. Please fill out an adoption application, get a home visit and ask for Obi-Wan (or Obi for short). You’ll be rewarded with lots of love and pug kisses.
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $125
