Hi everyone my name is Queen Elizabeth. My foster mom calls me QE (like Cutie w/out the ‘t’) and she says my name fits me because I am a Royal Sweetheart with First Class doggie manners. She might be exaggerating just a little because I’m not a fan of sharing my food or my foster mom, but I am working on that.
I have 3 foster pug siblings to play with and 1 Pekingese foster sibling who puts up with us all. I came to my foster family the beginning of February, the day after having surgery. The wonderful vet removed multiple fat masses on my belly. There was an unusually large one on my abdomen/rear leg area that was there so long I’ve learned to walk with a kick & swing but that is slowly going away. I also had a dental with 7 teeth removed, but don’t worry, that doesn’t stop me from eating!
Actually, I was very overweight for my tiny frame and not very strong on my back legs (the extra weight made it worse) so I’ve been on a fitness program, doing lots of slow walks and eating a high quality diet. My goal is to be a snuggly 13-15 pound pug and I don’t have a long way to go because I love to be active. My new furever family must commit to continuing both my walks & my high quality diet. These are both crucial to my overall health!
I get along well with my foster siblings but I would also make a great only pet. I love to cuddle, go on car rides, early morning & evening walks, and all sorts of belly rubs. My foster family thinks I am super cute with lots of personality and all the neighbors stop to tell me the same. I would love to meet if you would like to add an adorable, cuddly, fun & sweet senior pug to your family.
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $150
