Hi pug lovers, my name is Rudy and I am a 15-year-old gentleman. Yes, 15 years. I know, I don’t look a day over 12, right?
My previous owner and I were lifetime companions and best buddies. When he passed away I came to APARN. I was very sad for quite some time, but have now learned to love and trust other people. I am very bright and I learned all the rules in my foster home in record speed: No potties in the house, be nice to everybody (humans, dogs, and the snotty cat), walk nice on a leash, wait my turn for dinner, and no crazy barking. I taught myself to hop up the stairs but I need help getting down. I also use a doggie door better than many pugs half my age.
I had some nasty teeth pulled when I had my dental done. I am super happy to report that my breath is now as fresh as a bunch of daisies.
I don’t hear very well, so I keep a close eye on my people in case they need anything or head to the refrigerator. The advantage of being hearing impaired is that I sleep extremely well and I don’t bark like a fool when someone knocks at the door.
My favorite things are short walks, warm baths, and snuggling. I am not super needy; but I figure if we are both hanging out, why not hang out together? I have no need of an expensive dog bed. I will be perfectly comfortable in your bed with you. I don’t snore or hog the covers.
Please consider sharing your home with me; trust me, we super seniors are the best!
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $125
