Howdy, y’all! They call me The Duke. That’s right, just like John Wayne. Now all I need is a cool cowboy hat and a Sarsaparilla to sip on! Okay, now that we’re good friends, you can just call me Duke. I’m 10 years old, and had a bad eye when I came to APARN. I’d like to say it was injured doing something heroic, you know? But truth is, it just got so dry over time, and my previous owner didn’t realize it was hurting me. So APARN gave the good Doc the go ahead to take it out!
I wasn’t thrilled with the reduced portions at my foster home when I first got here, but I’ve adjusted. And I think I might have lost a little weight, too! Goodness knows it didn’t happen from exercise, ‘cause truth be told, I am your typical pug coach potato! Do you need a good tv buddy? I can certainly fill the bill!
Ok, I know you’re just waiting to hear about my super long tongue, right? I think it adds character. And it certainly doesn’t keep me from eating, lol. And who knows, one of these days I might just win one of those “longest tongue” contests at a big event! So please don’t let it bother you, ‘cause it certainly doesn’t bother me!
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $125
