Meet Louie! A 1-Year-old energetic pug with a heart full of love and energy to share! Louie loves his daily walks/runs! Runs, you say? YUP! This guy LOVES to run! Whether it’s playing tug of war, chasing balls, or simply snuggling in your lap on the couch, Louie is your guy! He gets the zoomies daily and can jump quite high.
Louie is human submissive and gets along great with adults and children alike. He would do best with a human playmate and someone who can exercise him daily. He knows how to use a dog door and is crate trained. Louie loves to sleep snuggled up to his foster mom and dad at night.
Since he is so young, he still displays some puppy mannerisms. He would benefit from an adult to help him with his leash manners and social skills, and to help him graduate from belly bands due to occasional marking.
Louie is dog reactive and will bark and pull on the leash when he sees another dog. It’s unknown at this time if this means Louie is dog aggressive, or simply really wants to play with other dogs. For this reason, we recommend him being the only dog in the house. Louie has some allergies, but that’s an easy fix with ½ Benadryl at night.
If you’re looking for a young, energetic pug who would benefit living with a family who can shower him with love and training, then look no further. If you are interested in adopting Louie, please submit an adoption application.
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $600
