Aren’t I just the cutest rascal? My name is Pip and I’m a curious, adventurous little guy. I’m obsessed with toys! Correction: I’m obsessed with anything that can be my toy. See that human sock there? It’s mine now! I’ve got a big personality in this little Pug-kingese/Peking-pug body. Tug’o’war? Snuggle? Nap? Sunbathe? I’m up for anything.
My current home has two senior pugs and they’re….ok. They don’t want to play with me so I’d prefer a home with a younger dog who wants to have fun! Though I don’t live with kids currently, my foster mom thinks that pairing me up with them could work out really well. I don’t walk too much because my pug sisters are not very mobile, but it would be fun to live with someone who’d like to walk with me! I do like car rides a lot.
When I arrived at APARN, I had a torn ACL which seems to have healed nicely. The vet wants my new owner to keep an eye on it. I have to admit, I get really anxious meeting new people and new dogs – I’m loud, I lunge – the works. But I can be trained out of it with some socialization. So, if you’re thinking of adding a confident, outgoing, loving, friendly, happy, bouncy, spunky dog to your family, and you have lots of toys for me, I’m your guy!
***We appreciate your interest in adopting a pug in need. Please respect our process and our time, as we are all volunteers with full time jobs. An application starts the process. We are not able to answer calls with questions about the foster pugs. ***
***We encourage you to come to our adoption events to meet the pugs in person if you are interested in adoption. Again, please do not call regarding the adoptable pugs. APARN is an all volunteer non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter. Our dogs are currently being fostered in private homes generally located throughout the greater Phoenix metro area.***
My adoption fee is $400
